QuickBooks and Xero

Sign in to QuickBooks Online or Xero and every payment you receive is recorded in your books for you.
Instead of downloading a file, you can connect your accounting software. Open Integrations and choose QuickBooks or Xero, then press Sign in. You sign in on QuickBooks' or Xero's own page and pick the company or organisation to use. Site Haus never sees your password.
What gets sent#
Every paid proposal payment (card or crypto) and every paid care plan charge (read from your Stripe account) is recorded once:

Nothing is ever sent twice, and Site Haus only creates customers and sales. It never edits or deletes what is already in your books.
Settings#
- Send new payments automatically sends each new payment a few moments after it arrives, and care plan charges every few hours. Leave it off to send when you press Send payments now.
- Xero: account code for sales is where the income goes (200 is Xero's usual Sales account).
- Xero: bank account code is the account the payments are recorded against. Leave it empty and the invoices are created but stay unpaid in Xero.
- QuickBooks puts sales in your first income account. A payment in a different currency needs multi-currency turned on in QuickBooks, otherwise that payment is skipped and the reason is shown.
You can also press Send new payments from Payments → Accounting export.
If something goes wrong#
If a payment cannot be sent, the reason is shown (for example an account code that does not exist) and it is tried again next time. If your sign-in expires, the card asks you to sign in again. Disconnecting stops sending and leaves everything already in your books alone.
